Massive congratulations to Integrated Studies lecturer Steve Poole on winning the Volunteer of the Year Award for the work he does at the Albion Foundation.
West Bromwich Albion captain Darren Fletcher and defender Jonny Evans presented Steve with his award at The Hawthorns ceremony.
This is a massive achievement and demonstrates the outstanding commitment and dedication Steve gives to the projects he works on. He says it’s a team event and the award simply recognises all the work the college has done in terms of sport and working with the foundation, but without Steve leading the way, organising the events, getting the learners on board and when necessary paying for tickets, taxis, drinks, kit and spending most of his weekends and free time working on it, the work would simply have not happened.
Well done Steve, well deserved!
