Sandwell College is committed to equality of opportunity and celebrating the diversity of its staff and students. This is reflected in one of the core values of the mission statement “To foster a culture of respect, equality and safety for all.”

During the 2005/6 academic year the Resources Committee decided to set up an Equality and Diversity Group in order to renew the College’s work in this area. This group is responsible for ensuring progress on equality and diversity issues at the College for both staff and learners.

The college has the following groups established to promote and monitor equality and diversity:
