Entitlement Statement
All Sandwell College learners are entitled to careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) which meets professional standards of practice and which is person centred, impartial and confidential. It will be integrated into learners’ experience of the whole curriculum and be based on a partnership with learners, and where applicable, with their parents and carers. Students are entitled to access personal guidance from appropriately qualified (Level 6) Careers Advisers. The Careers Programme will raise aspirations, challenge stereotyping and promote equality and diversity.
Parents/Carers
We would be happy to discuss potential careers and progression routes for your child and the support available at the college.
Links to guides and websites are included below to provide key information that will be useful to you as a parent/carer in supporting your child to make decisions about their next steps.
Career and Labour Market Information
Students at Sandwell College have access to the KUDOS Careers Package and Job Explorer Database (for students on Foundation Learning/Level 1 courses) and we would encourage parents to support their children at college to use these packages.
