Experience of working with animals is vital in this industry, and we can help you to gain this with our work-based courses and vital practical placements in farms. You may even be inspired to open your own shelter, care centre, boarding kennels or dog grooming salon.
We can help you to gain vital experience of working with animals in our industry-standard grooming salons, helping to support your application and entry into the dog grooming profession. Many of our students go into the industry as assistants and progress to salon managers.
Our commercial Tails of Sandwell salon is industry-standard and open to the public, and we have even created a second salon treatment room due to demand from our satisfied clients. Breeds you’ll care for include wirehaired dogs such as West Highland Terrier, Cairn Terrier, Fox Terrier, Jack Russell, Border Terrier, Scottish Terrier and Schnauzer.
