Sandwell College staff have secured donations of branded sportswear to give to students in need.
Through links with the Sandwell Networking Partnership our Work Experience and Student Union teams have been working with Sandwell Churches Link.
Donations of brand new trainers, shoes and tracksuits, as well as sports equipment and clothing, were saved from landfill and collected by the teams.
They will now be distributed to the college’s Welfare, ESOL, Sport and Foundation Learning teams to make use of and give out to students in need.
Programme Achievement Manager Phoebe Taylor said: “Our departments have shared out the clothing, which is high quality and brand new, and we look forward to future working relations and hearing our students’ reaction to receiving such support. The College will be passing these items on to those students who need them the most, to provide warmth and clothing, and our teams will be working hard to help distribute.”
