The partnership between Sandwell College and Staffordshire University has been sealed with the signing of a progression agreement.
Director of Central Sixth and Assistant Principal of the college, Dr Matt Lamb, signed the agreement, which will benefit students by supporting their move to Higher Education and increasing their opportunities to progress.
The College has demonstrated its commitment to the University and will now be able to offer benefits to students applying for places at Staffordshire. Under the terms of the agreement, qualifying students can still secure their place even if they drop one grade across their A Levels or BTEC. The aim is to encourage those to think about university who would often discount it.
Activities available will also include Test Drive Your Degree where students can visit the university campus and sit in a real lecture.
Students will also be supported through the UCAS application process and offered 1-2-1 support if they have particular needs.
