Manvir said: “I was really nervous because I didn’t know what to expect, but I’m so happy to have successfully completed both stages and earned my place on the Elite Pathways Programme. I’ve always thought that you had to have A* grades in maths and English, and some academies ask for a university background.
“When I left school I wanted to be in an airline related profession and my lecturer encouraged me to apply for this programme. Only three per cent of pilots are women and it’s always been my dream to be one.”
