Performing Arts student holding chains

Performing Arts students took to the stage for three back-to-back performances of Beggars Masque – an adaptation of The Threepenny Opera by Bertolt Brecht.

The Sandwell College Theatre production, directed by Acting Lecturer, James Knapp, has been in development for several months, giving BTEC Level 3 Foundation Diploma learners the experience of working to professional industry practice in an intensive rehearsal process.

Level 3 Production Arts students designed and operated the lighting and sound and provided set, props and costumes. Level 2 Performing Arts students also took part as ensemble members, gaining valuable work experience of performing to a live, paying public audience.
