Four-legged friends can now enjoy being pampered at Sandwell College’s brand new dog grooming salon.

Students training to become dog grooming stylists are offering a range of treatments for a variety of breeds, from Poodles to Pekinese, at the newly opened Tails of Sandwell.

Level 2 and 3 learners are looking for friendly and well behaved pooches to practice their skills on at a very competitive rate.

Breeds the students are keenest to groom include wirehaired such as West Highland Terrier, Cairn Terrier, Fox Terrier, Jack Russell, Border Terrier, Scottish Terrier and Schnauzer; wool coated such as Poodle, Bichons, Cavapoo and Cavichon; double coated such as Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, Pomeranian and Pekinese; silky coated such as Yorkshire Terrier, Maltese, Cocker Spaniel and Cavalier; and corded coated such as Hungarian Puli and Komondor.

Lecturer Vicky Partridge, who has previously managed her own salon, said: “If you have a friendly, well behaved dog who would like to be pampered and groomed in our brand new facility, we want to hear from you!”

Prices start at £10 for a small dog, to £20 for a large dog, and an extra charge will apply for badly matted coats or dogs with fleas.

All dogs will need to be fully vaccinated and in good health.

Dog owners can contact Vicky to book an appointment and discuss their pet’s requirements on 0121 667 5083.
