Course summary

The ability to coach and mentor others is fast becoming a sought after workplace skill; as employers are increasingly expecting line managers to develop the skills, knowledge and performance of their teams using coaching and mentoring skills and techniques. This course is ideal for anyone who has line management experience or who works in the field of Human Resources or who has aspirations to become a manager or work in Human Resources in the future.

Course requirements

You must have gained a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above including English or equivalent qualifications.

However, if you are a mature applicant (over 21 years) your work experience (paid and/or unpaid) may be taken into account in lieu of formal qualifications.

You will study six units:-


· Principles , Skills and Impact of Coaching and Mentoring

· Coaching and Mentoring Processes

· Coaching and Mentoring for Individual and Team Needs

· Coaching and Mentoring Relationships

· Completing the Coaching and Mentoring Process

· Understanding Team Dynamics


Whilst on the course, you will be given FREE professional membership of the CMI, which includes access to a range of CMI products and services to support you throughout the qualification and later as you progress in their career.


How much does the Course Cost?

The total fee for this course (including registration and certification) is £1,9800.


HOWEVER, if you live within ‘West Midlands Combined Authority’ region, you may be eligible to a FREE place on this course subject to certain terms and conditions.


When does the Course Start and End?

Start Date: 10th October 2023

End Date: 22nd May 2024

Each unit is assessed by one written assignment of approximately 2,000-2,500 words.


How is the Course Delivered?


The course is delivered in person on Tuesday 6-9 pm, at Bennett's Hill, City Centre Online, on-demand learning materials are available 24/7 and are accessible by both PCs and mobile devices.

Progression opportunities include moving on to CMI qualifications at the next level, for example the CMI Level 5 Certificate/Diploma in; Management Coaching and Mentoring.
