If you already have some team management/leadership experience or if you plan to become a team manager/leader in the future, then a CMI Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Management and Leadership course may be ideal for you. The course will equip you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to manage and lead effectively, enabling you to develop (or sharpen) your professional edge and enhance your personal effectiveness. This course is currently funded by the West Midlands Combined Authority and is FREE to adults resident in eligible postcode areas.

You must have gained a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above including English or equivalent qualifications.
However, if you are a mature applicant (over 21 years) your work experience (paid and/or unpaid) may be taken into account in lieu of formal qualifications.
You will study two units:
• Principles of Management and Leadership
• Managing a Team to Achieve Results
The course is delivered fully online with ‘real-time’ interactive classes taking place on Tuesdays 6 – 9pm, using the Zoom video conferencing platform. Online, on-demand learning materials are available 24/7 and are accessible by both PCs and mobile devices.
Whilst on the course, you will be given FREE professional membership of the CMI, which includes access to a range of CMI products and services to support you throughout the qualification and later as you progress in your career.
In addition you will have a FREE LinkedIn Learning account throughout your studies, which means you will have access to over 16,000 free online, bite-sized courses.
Each unit is assessed by one written assignment of approximately 2,000-2,500 words.
On successful completion of this course, you can progress to the CMI Level 3 Diploma in Principles of Management and Leadership.
Other progression opportunities include moving on to CMI qualifications at the next level, for example the CMI Level 5 Certificate/Diploma in Management and Leadership.
