This Level 2 Award in Threading Depilation is an assessment-based qualification to develop your practical skills to provide an effective threading service for clients. It is suitable for adults or for full-time learners aged 16-18 who wish to upskill their own professional development.
You will need to have GCSE Grade 3 or above in English and Maths, or ESOL at Level 1 or equivalent.
You will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practices in a salon environment and how to promote client care and communications in beauty-related industries. You will also develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification. The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy to a high level of occupational ability.
Practical elements of the course will be assessed in our state-of-the-art salons, and you'll be required to produce a portfolio of your work throughout the course. There are three exams which are externally marked, and all practical work will be logged in your VTCT assessment book.
On successful completion of this Level 2 Award in Threading Depilation course, you can progress on a hairdressing or nails pathway by studying a Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing or Nail Technology. You could also study other short courses to develop your skills. Future career opportunities include employment in beauty salons or becoming self-employed and running your own mobile business.
