Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Nail Technology – Technical Route

This course will consist of practical and commercial salon workshops to develop your skills and theory sessions to develop your knowledge.

You will study the following units:
• Promote and sell products and services to clients
• Business practice
• Anatomy and physiology for hands and feet
• Enhance and maintain nails using light cured gel, including hard gels
• Liquid and powder nail enhancements
• Create and apply nail art
• The creation and presentation of a mood board, look book and an industry portfolio
• Enhancing nails using electrical files

You are also required to undertake 30 hours per year of work experience and 30 hours per year of enrichment activities.

• One portfolio of creative work
• Two externally set, externally moderated assignments
• One externally set, externally marked exam, sat under examination conditions
• Synoptic Practical Assessment
• Enhancing nails using electrical files - Assignment

You will be qualified to work in a salon as a Nail Technician. You could also progress to Level 3 Beauty – Massage and Electrical Route, or to University for Level 4 Aesthetics or a Salon Management Degree.
