Course summary

This course offers you the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding and skills required to work in adult care settings. In these settings, you will support service users with their needs so they can achieve their personal goals and live as independently and safely as possible. These care settings include day care centres, residential and nursing homes, domiciliary care day centres or other clinical healthcare settings. This course will be provided FREE to anyone who meets the criteria below:

Course requirements

You will also need to have Level 1 Functional skills in both English and Maths.

· You will need to have a genuine interest in Health and Social Care. Vocational experience would be of benefit but is not mandatory.

· You are required to attend an interview to ensure that you will be able to cope with the academic requirements of the course.

· This will include a numeracy and literacy assessment.
