If you want to develop management consulting abilities and already have the knowledge, skills, and behaviours to drive consultancy activities in a consulting capacity, then this may be the course for you. This certificate course is designed for practising or aspiring management consultants, who want to formalise or develop their learning, with the opportunity eventually to become a Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC).
You must have gained a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above including English or equivalent qualifications. You will also have a CMI Level 3 Diploma in Management and Leadership or similar Business or Management qualification at level 3.
However, if you are a mature applicant (over 21 years) your work experience (paid and/or unpaid) may be taken into account in lieu of formal qualifications.
Most importantly, you must be able to demonstrate the professionalism to deliver impact, behave ethically and have a commitment to continual learning and development.
You will study two units:-
· Management Consultancy Practice
· Principles of Management Consulting
Whilst on the course, you will be given FREE professional membership of the CMI, which includes access to a range of CMI products and services to support you throughout the qualification and later as you progress in their career.
Each unit is assessed via a written assignment of approximately 4,000 words. The first assignment requires you to contribute to the delivery of a management consulting assignment.
On successful completion of this course, you can progress to the CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management Consulting Practice. Completion of the Diploma course could lead you onto the Associate Chartered Management Consultant (AChMC) Award, subject to having a minimum of three years management consulting experience.
