Only 1 in 5 managers have a recognised management qualification and yet employers are actively looking for people with these qualifications right now! Why not join the ‘1 in 5’ and make your CV stand out from the crowd by gaining a CMI qualification with Sandwell College? Why do this Course? The ability to coach others is a highly sought after workplace skill; as employers are increasingly using both professional coaches to develop the skills, knowledge and performance of their employees. Often Line Managers and Human Resource Management (HRM) staff within organisations are responsible for delivering coaching interventions, so these courses are ideal if you already have some line management or HRM experience or if you plan to become a manager or work in HRM in the future. This course is designed to introduce individuals to the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to become professional coaches (both within organisations and/or as external contractors).
You must have a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above including English or equivalent qualifications. Ideally, you will also have gained at least a Level 3 CMI Diploma in Management and Leadership/Management Mentoring or Coaching or equivalent qualification or a CIPD Level 3 Qualification in Human Resource Management/ Organisational Development or equivalent qualification.
HOWEVER, if you are a mature applicant (over 21 years) your work experience (paid and/or unpaid) may be taken into account in lieu of formal qualifications.
