Start 29 June 2018
End 30 June 2018

Would you like to do a Supported Internship rather than follow a full-time academic programme of study?

Sandwell College Foundation Learning is offering a Supported Internship programme for young people aged between 16 and 24 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) focused on getting a job. We have potential placements with Sandwell Park Farm and McDonald’s.

You don’t have to have a learning disability, but would need to have an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan. You do most of your learning on the job, with the help of a job coach, who offers support to you and your employer, until your coach feels you are confident to do the job by yourself.

What qualifications are needed to do a Supported Internship?

No qualifications are needed other than commitment, motivation and enthusiasm to work. If you don’t have a grade C/4 at GCSE or Level 2 Functional Skills in English and/or Maths, you will continue studying these. You may also study other qualifications to help you move into work.

Apply before the end of June by calling 0121 667 5051 or email [email protected]
