In 2021 we will be offering FREE* English and Maths courses to adults.

Whether you missed out on the opportunity to obtain GCSE Maths and English while you were at school, or you want to improve your grade, we’re offering you the chance to gain the qualifications employers require. GCSE English and Maths will allow you to take the next steps in your career, or progress into further study.

Our part-time courses will commence from the second week of January and run through to June. The GCSE assessments will take place in June with the awarding body Edexcel.

You will be required to commit to six hours of learning a week. Three hours will be taught at Sandwell College. Lessons will take place from 6pm-9pm on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening. The remaining three hours will entail self-study via VLE (Moodle), the Sandwell College online learning network.

To enrol on this course you will be invited for an initial assessment. This assessment will allow us to determine your current level and to advise you further.

We will also be offering free* Functional Skills English and Maths daytime classes on various days and times starting from 5, 7 and 18 January.

Functional Skills English and Maths evening classes will run for 20 weeks for all levels from 18 January. English classes will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays from 6-8pm. Maths classes will be on Wednesdays or Thursdays 6-8pm.

*Eligibility criteria apply. Please bring proof of your income or benefits to enrolment.
