The Sandwell Colleges proudly celebrated the achievements of its latest Learner of the Month award winners at the first awards event of the academic year, recognising students from Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form and Sandwell College.
The awards shine a spotlight on learners who go above and beyond in their college life, recognising those who demonstrate exceptional commitment, ambition and dedication to their studies and personal development. Each nomination reflects the hard work, positive attitude and determination of students who are making the most of their time at college and working towards achieving their goals.
The celebrations were hosted by Lisa Capper, CEO & Principal of The Sandwell Colleges, with Anne Frost, Chair of the Board at The Sandwell Colleges, joining as the special guest.
Anne shared insights into her own career journey, giving students the opportunity to hear about her professional experiences and the path she had taken to reach her current position. Learners were fascinated by her story and asked some fantastic questions, demonstrating their curiosity and enthusiasm to learn from the experiences of others.
The event also provided an opportunity to recognise the individual stories and achievements behind each nomination. Emma Brannen, Senior Vice Principal, and Billy Coughlin-Miller, Director of Academic Standards and Progress at Sandwell College, proudly read out the nominations, highlighting the inspiring progress, personal journeys and accomplishments of the award winners.
The Learner of the Month awards form an important part of celebrating the success of students across The Sandwell Colleges, recognising not only academic achievement but also the determination, resilience and positive contributions that help learners thrive.
By celebrating these achievements, the colleges aim to encourage students to continue challenging themselves, embracing opportunities and working towards their future ambitions.
Congratulations to all our Learners of the Month! We are incredibly proud of your achievements and look forward to celebrating even more student success throughout the academic year.
