Just look how far Derron Ebanks has come since he qualified in Sports Science at Sandwell College and was Student of the Year in 2015.
A transformational opportunity, working with West Indies cricketers, happened for Derron last summer when he shadowed the test match physio team for 2 days at Edgbaston.
Here he is with former captain and world number one all-rounder Jason Holder.
Derron studied for his Masters Degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine in Physiotherapy at the University of Bradford.
After working as a physiotherapist for nearly 4 years he has recently taken on a new role as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist for Connect Health, working within the NHS.
Derron says he is honoured to be one of our featured alumni and has always wanted to give back by helping other students see the possibilities of studying a BTEC.
Before taking up his university place, he worked as an apprentice advisor for our School Liaison team, inspiring the next generation.
