Tourism Students Play Part In Town Of Culture Bid

Travel & Tourism students represented Sandwell College at the launch of Smethwick’s bid to become the first ever UK Town of Culture.
Tunmi and Natalie joined Cllr Kerrie Carmichael, Leader of Sandwell Council, and members of Sandwell’s Culture Forum to champion everything that makes Smethwick special: its vibrant communities, rich heritage and fast‑growing arts and culture scene.
Sandwell Council is putting Smethwick forward for the UK Town of Culture competition, led by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, and we’re thrilled our students were part of this historic moment shaping the future of the borough.
