Talented T Level Health Students Gain Hands-On Experience in Hospital

Our talented Sandwell College T Level Health students have officially begun their industry placements at Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust (SWBT).

Gaining hands-on experience across Sandwell and Birmingham hospitals, including the cutting-edge Midland Metropolitan University Hospital, the past few weeks have been all about preparation.

Learners have completed a comprehensive corporate induction, essential patient moving and handling training, fit mask testing for safe practice and much more to ensure they are ready to hit the ground running.

Talking of her experience, student Sara Tariq shared: “My placement at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital has been an incredibly valuable experience. I’ve developed a greater understanding of professionalism, communication, and person-centred care. Applying my college learning in a real-world setting has been crucial, and the support from both the T Level team and SWBT has been fantastic. I’m excited to continue learning and make a positive impact on patients.”

A huge thank you to everyone at SWBT and our dedicated Health & Social Care Team at Sandwell College for making this incredible opportunity possible. We can’t wait to see what our students achieve next!
