A huge well done to our Sandwell College students who passed their GCSE Maths and English exams today.
Thanks to the college’s resit programme, which allows students who narrowly missed out on their grades at school, to continue with their main course of study while retaking their GCSEs alongside, their hard work, resilience and determination have paid off with passes, and we couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve achieved.
Here are a few of our student successes:
- The sky’s the limit for Travel & Aviation learner Maddison who got an amazing grade 6 in English and 4 in her Maths
- Childcare student Aliza was so proud to get her grade 4 in English and is now moving on to improve her Maths grade
- After 4 attempts Navrose was delighted to finally get her 4 in Maths. The Health & Social Care student is hoping to go on to a degree apprenticeship in social work, so Maths was definitely needed for university
- Level 3 Fashion student Ndey got her longed-for 4 in GCSE English, vital for continuing her career plans
- Construction student Kiarah is now planning on an apprenticeship at the end of her Painting & Decorating course, now that she has secured her essential grade 4 in English
- Animal Care student Shaun is smashing GCSE success after gaining grade 4s in both English and Maths
