Celebrating the future of Early Years

Sandwell College was filled with pride and positivity as we came together to celebrate the achievements of our Early Years students for both our outstanding 16–18 and adult learners.

The event was opened by CEO and Principal Lisa Capper MBE who delivered an inspiring speech on the vital role Early Years professionals play in shaping the lives of young children. She praised the dedication, compassion, and resilience our students have demonstrated throughout their training and placements.

We were also honoured to hear from Jane Bissell, Head of Early Years, who shared her personal journey in the sector and her long-standing commitment to supporting children and families. Her reflections were a powerful reminder of the lifelong impact that skilled, passionate Early Years professionals can make.

From classroom learning to real-world placements, our students have consistently shown exceptional commitment, care, and ambition. We couldn’t be prouder of their achievements and the difference they are already beginning to make in their communities.

Congratulations to all our Early Years students!
