Engineering Showcase Of Specialist Facilities

Sandwell College recently welcomed Year 10 students from Holly Lodge School to our Engineering Showcase.
During their visit the pupils explored our specialist facilities and took part in a range of practical workshops designed to develop their understanding of engineering. This included learning wiring and plug assembly in an electrical session, followed by applying soldering techniques to build simple electronic circuits.
Throughout the day, students were encouraged to apply problem solving skills, work independently, and gain confidence in using industry relevant equipment within a safe and supportive environment.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for students to experience hands on learning and develop insight into future pathways within the engineering sector.
