Adults across the West Midlands are invited to take the next step in their learning journey at Sandwell College, with a dedicated Adult Education Enrolment Day taking place on Saturday 21st March 2026, from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the College’s Central Campus on Spon Lane, West Bromwich.
The enrolment event offers prospective learners the opportunity to explore a range of courses designed to support progression into work, everyday life, and further study. Available courses include ESOL (Entry 1 to Entry 3), Functional Skills in English and Maths (Entry 1 to Level 2), and Essential Digital Skills (Entry 3 to Level 2). Daytime and evening classes are available, providing flexible options to suit a variety of schedules.
This is an opportunity for adults to build confidence, gain valuable qualifications, and develop practical skills in a supportive college environment. Please note that the College is not currently enrolling for GCSE English or Maths, or ESOL for complete beginners.
For many learners, courses may be free depending on individual circumstances. Those receiving benefits such as Jobseeker’s Allowance, Employment Support Allowance, or Universal Credit, or earning below £34,194 annually, may be eligible, subject to providing the required evidence. Individuals with a current asylum application who have lived in the UK for at least six months may also qualify for fee exemptions.
The enrolment process is designed to ensure learners are placed on the most suitable course. This includes an initial assessment of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, followed by a discussion with a teacher before agreeing on a course and start date. Applicants should allow approximately 90 minutes to complete the process.
Anyone interested in enrolling or finding out more is encouraged to attend on the day or contact the College directly on 0121 667 5048 or 0800 622 006. Further information is also available via sandwell.ac.uk.
Sandwell College continues to support adult learners in gaining the skills they need to progress, opening doors to new opportunities and brighter futures.
