Adult student Tajinder recognised at WMCA Awards for her outstanding learning journey

We are thrilled to celebrate a remarkable achievement from one of our dedicated Functional Skills learners, Tajinder, who was nominated for the prestigious West Midlands Combined Authority Awards and received a special Highly Commended recognition from the judging panel.

This is a rare honour, awarded to only a small number of nominees, and it reflects Tajinder’s exceptional dedication and progress.

Tajinder’s journey has been nothing short of inspirational. After taking a long break from education to care for her family, she made the courageous decision to return to learning and focus on her own development. At first, she struggled with low self-confidence and self-esteem, but through commitment and perseverance, she not only gained new qualifications but also rediscovered her confidence and purpose.

For Tajinder, this was more than just an academic journey; it was a transformative experience that empowered her to become a role model for her children and peers. Her success shows the incredible impact of adult education and the strength it takes to start over.

Her story is a shining example of resilience, personal growth, and the power of lifelong learning.
