Bulls in the City has officially launched and The Sandwell Colleges are proud to be part of this bold and meaningful celebration of creativity, culture, and community, all in support of Birmingham Hospice.
At this morning’s VIP launch event in the Bullring Birmingham, our Director of Communications, External Engagement & Public Affairs, Claire Williams, Assistant Principal Angela Tombs, and Head of Creative Arts Michelle King joined Paul Bytheway OStJ, CEO of Birmingham Hospice, to mark the start of the city-wide art trail.
The event drew strong support from civic leaders including the Mayor of the West Midlands Richard Parker and West Midlands Lord-Lieutenant Derrick Anderson CBE, both of whom spoke passionately about the trail’s power to bring the community together and raise vital awareness and funds for local hospice care.
You can find our very own full-sized bull just steps away from Tomorrow’s People on Bennett’s Hill.
But that’s not all — students from Sandwell College, Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form, and Cadbury Sixth Form College have also taken part in the trail by designing and decorating miniature calves, which are now proudly on display at:
-
Birmingham Library
-
Millennium Point
-
Brindleyplace
By supporting Bulls in the City, The Sandwell Colleges are not only sponsoring an inspiring public art project, but also giving students the chance to take part in a real-world creative experience, where their talents are showcased across the city in support of a cause that truly matters.
