Our former Cadbury Sixth Form College, part of The Sandwell Colleges student Casey Bailey is making us proud once again, lending his inspiring spoken word poetry to the voiceover of Making It Sandwell – a powerful short film showcasing the hopes, talents, and ambitions of young people across the borough.
Produced as part of the Sandwell Story campaign, Making It Sandwell celebrates the resilience, diversity, and potential of the borough’s next generation. Casey’s passionate and moving poem brings the film to life, setting the tone for a message that is both hopeful and unapologetically proud of Sandwell’s identity.
Adding to the pride, Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form College student Mya Kandola also stars in the film and played a vital role behind the scenes. Mya was part of the youth panel at the official Sandwell Story launch event, sharing her perspective and representing the voice of young people with confidence and conviction.
This campaign highlights the creative strength and community spirit found in Sandwell’s youth – and we’re incredibly proud that both Casey and Mya are part of our college story.
