National Careers Week 2026: 200+ Student Interviews With 20 Different Employers

We’re celebrating National Careers Week 2026, and we recently hosted a fantastic day of development at The Sandwell Colleges, where over 200 learners took part in mock interviews and conversations with external employers and providers.
With nearly 20 organisations in attendance, including Equans, Great British Energy – Nuclear, Hercules PLC, Mondelez International, Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, OCS, PR Associates, SISK, and the University of Wolverhampton, students gained invaluable experience, insight and confidence as they explored future pathways. It was especially inspiring to hear about the wide range of apprenticeship opportunities available and to listen to learners speak proudly about their own placement journeys — including one young learner who shared their passion for pursuing a career in healthcare after a hugely positive placement experience.
Opportunities like these help our students build essential employability skills, practise real interview scenarios, and connect directly with industry professionals.
A huge thank you to SIPS and all our employer and provider partners for supporting this packed and purposeful day of career‑building experiences for our learners.
