Home > T Levels
T Levels are 2 year courses developed with employers to prepare students for skilled employment in their chosen specialism. Students study 14 core topic areas and spend around 80% of their time in the classroom, with the remaining 20% on industry placement. College attendance is typically 2–3 days a week, and assessment includes two core exams, employer-set projects, and practical workplace learning.
Every T Level includes a mandatory industry placement of at least 315 hours (around 45 days), giving students real experience and technical skills within their specialism. Placements can be structured as day release, block release, or a mix of both, and may be split across up to two employers. On completion, students can move directly into a skilled role, or continue their education through higher or degree-level apprenticeships or further technical study.
