ESOL Entry Level 1 is the first level of formal English learning after Pre-Entry, and it’s aimed at learners who have some basic understanding of English but still need a lot of support with everyday communication.
ESOL Entry 1 is for people who:
1. Can understand and use a few simple words and phrases
2. Are beginning to read and write in English
3. Want to live, work, or study in an English-speaking country
4. May have completed ESOL Pre-Entry or have some informal English
5. Are 16-18 (especially migrants, refugees, asylum seekers, or anyone settling in an English-speaking country)
