This course is aimed at school leavers who have completed the Level 1 Diploma in Plastering and are ready to build on their skills to pursue a career in the Plastering industry.

The course is a mix of practical plastering techniques and theoretical knowledge, ensuring when you finish this course you are ready for the Plastering industry.

You’ll gain experience in surface preparation, applying plaster to different backgrounds, and producing decorative finishes, all while learning how to work safely, communicate effectively, and maintain professional standards on site.

This course is delivered through a mix of practical sessions in the workshop and classroom learning. The course will help you build the confidence, competence, and behaviours that employers value. You’ll be supported every step of the way as you work towards passing your practical assessments and knowledge tests.

Level 1 Diploma in Plastering

Modules include:

  • Health safety and welfare in Construction
  • Principles of building construction, information and communication
  • Preparing surfaces for decoration
  • Applying paint systems by brush and roller to complex areas.
  • Applying standard papers to walls and ceilings.
  • Producing specialist finishes for decorative work
  • Erecting and dismantling access equipment and working platforms
  • Creating and applying colour
