This course is perfect for learners who are passionate about technology and eager to become creators of digital products and systems. You’ll explore how to use information technology, not just as a tool, but as a platform to design and develop computer games, animations, and websites.

Alongside gaining technical knowledge in databases and IT systems, you’ll also build essential transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving — all of which are key to progressing into further education or starting a successful career in the digital industry.

Exams and Coursework.

This Level 2 Extended Certificate in IT offers a clear progression route to a Level 3 course in Computing. On the IT extended Diploma or the T-level in cybersecurity and software development.  The course can also lead to an Apprenticeship.

The knowledge, understanding and skills you learn during this course will aid progression to further study and ultimately prepare you to enter the workplace.

This qualification will provide you with a taste of potential employment opportunities in the Information Technology sector such as jobs within computer games development, website development, animation development, database and software development.
