Learners will gain a broad understanding of the IT sector, alongside practical skills that are highly valued in both technical and creative roles. The course also focuses on building key transferable and employability skills, including problem-solving, communication, and teamwork which are essential for further study and workplace success.

Exams and Coursework.

This Level 2 Extended Certificate in IT offers a clear progression route to a Level 3 course in Computing. On the IT extended Diploma or the T-level in cybersecurity and software development. The course can also lead to an Apprenticeship.

The knowledge, understanding and skills you learn during this course will aid progression to further study and ultimately prepare you to enter the workplace.

This qualification will provide you with a taste of potential employment opportunities in the Information Technology sector such as jobs within computer games development, website development, animation development, database and software development.
