The Level 3 Extended Certificate in Marketing is a one-year course equivalent to one A Level and allows progression to the National Extended Diploma in Marketing, equivalent to 3 A Levels. It is a practical, work-related course, focusing on the development of a range of specialist skills in Marketing sector including Digital Marketing. This course is ideal for school leavers wishing to pursue a career in Marketing sector. The content of this course is appropriate and consistent with current industry practice, to enable learners to enter employment directly. This qualification also allows appropriate progression for those aspiring to go on to higher level study.
You will need to have either:
• Five GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above, including Grade 4/C or above in both English and Maths
• A related BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate or Diploma at Merit or above, plus Grade 4/C or above in GCSE English and Maths.

This qualification has a range of assessment types and styles. There are two main forms of assessments: coursework and exams.
Once you successfully complete this course you may wish to progress to employment in the Marketing sector via an apprenticeship. This qualification also offers you the opportunity to progress to a broad range of higher education programmes, including Higher National Diplomas and undergraduate degrees.
