If you already have some management/leadership experience or if you plan to become a manager/ leader in the future, then a CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership course may be ideal for you. The course will equip you with a comprehensive grasp of many of the knowledge and skills required to be a successful manager/leader within a wide range of organisations and across a variety of employment sectors.
You must have gained a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above including English or equivalent qualifications. Ideally, you will also have a CMI Level 3 Diploma or a similar qualification at level 3.
However, if you are a mature applicant (over 21 years) your work experience (paid and/or unpaid) may be taken into account in lieu of formal qualifications.
You will study seven units:-
· Principles of Management and Leadership in an Organisational Context
· Principles of Developing, Managing and Leading Individuals and Teams to Achieve Success
· Managing Finance
· Creating and Developing Operational Plans
· Managing Stakeholder Relationships
· Managing Change
· Using Reflective Practice to Inform Personal and Professional Development
Whilst on the course, you will be given FREE professional membership of the CMI, which includes access to a range of CMI products and services to support you throughout the qualification and later as you progress in your career.
Each unit is assessed by one written assignment of approximately 2,500-4,000 words.
On successful completion of this course, you may be eligible to apply for full membership (MCMI) or even Chartered Membership of the CMI (CMgr).
Progression opportunities include moving on to CMI qualifications at the next level, for example the CMI Level 6 Certificate in Professional Management and Leadership Practice or CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership.
