Are you looking for an opportunity to earn while you learn? Then an apprenticeship could be for you! Apprenticeships at Sandwell College are a fantastic way to gain training and achieve nationally recognised qualifications whilst also earning a salary.

Students will be either paid National Minimum Apprenticeship wage or more, depending on the employer.

The course is available to anyone 16 plus who wish to gain work place experience, be paid a wage and be equipped with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to secure employment.

This includes small and large businesses alike, from the public sector, private sector and charitable sector. A role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services.  Business administrators develop key skills and behaviours to support towards management responsibilities.  The responsibilities of the role are to support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers. With a focus on adding value, the role of business administrator contributes to the efficiency of an organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested.

The flexibility and responsiveness required allows the apprentice to develop a wide range of skills.

The course is delivered to meet the needs of each apprentice and the employer and can be on a one to one, group or blended learning.

The apprentice will complete a process called End Point Assessment, consisting of:

  • Knowledge exam
  • Interview supported by portfolio of evidence
  • Project presentation with questions and answers

All students will get a dedicated assessor for the duration of the course.
