The Pearson BTEC Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Business is designed for learners aged 16+ who wish to gain basic business knowledge and develop key employability skills. It is suitable for those preparing for further study or training at Level 2.
Throughout the course, students will develop essential workplace skills such as organisation, teamwork, and communication, all of which are key to success in any business environment.
There are no formal entry requirements for this Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Business, but learners are expected to demonstrate a commitment to learning and an interest in the business sector.
Entry is subject to a satisfactory interview.
This Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Business course provides learners with a broad understanding of business contexts and functions, laying a strong foundation for future study or entry-level employment.

After successfully completing the Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Business, and your English and Maths, you can progress to the Level 2 First Extended Certificate in Business, take a qualification at Level 2 in an alternative sector, or apply for a business administration apprenticeship to enter employment.
