Want to feel more confident in yourself and your interactions with others? This four-week taster course introduces key personal and social development skills that support everyday life, work and well-being.

You’ll explore communication skills, confidence-building strategies, positive relationships, resilience and goal-setting, helping you gain clarity about your strengths and areas you want to develop.

This course offers a welcoming and supportive introduction to learning, especially for adults returning to education or preparing for further health, care or personal development pathways.

Delivered at Cradley Heath Skills Campus – complete with a home care simulation workshop, you’ll learn in an encouraging environment designed to help adults grow.

Who is this course for?

Perfect for adults aged 19+ who want to:
• Build confidence in everyday communication
• Understand personal strengths and goals
• Improve social skills for home, work or community life
• Prepare for Level 1 personal development or care courses
• Rebuild confidence before returning to learning

No previous experience required.

• You must be aged 19+
• Fully funded for most adults in the West Midlands Combined Authority area

Over four weeks, you’ll explore:
• Confidence-building and self-awareness
• Effective communication and positive relationships
• Setting goals and developing personal growth strategies
• Understanding resilience and managing challenges
• Everyday personal skills that support well-being

Learning is practical, reflective and designed to support confidence-building.
