Develop the essential skills needed for wall and floor tiling in this practical Entry Level 3 course. Ideal for adults preparing for further trades training, you’ll learn how to prepare surfaces, cut tiles accurately, apply adhesive, grout correctly and achieve clean, professional finishes.

This course builds confidence for those new to construction or wanting to progress from introductory taster sessions. Every lesson is hands-on, helping you practise the core techniques used by professional tilers.

Delivered at Cradley Heath Skills Campus, this course provides a supportive workshop environment designed to help adults learn at their own pace.

Who is this course for?

Ideal for adults aged 19+ who want to:
• Develop trade-level basic tiling skills
• Prepare for Level 1 construction or tiling training
• Learn safe and accurate tool use
• Build confidence tackling home projects
• Explore future careers in construction

No prior experience needed.

• You must be aged 19+
• Fully funded for most adults in the West Midlands Combined Authority region

Across five weeks, you’ll learn:
• Preparing surfaces for tiling
• Cutting and shaping tiles accurately
• Applying adhesive and achieving even spacing
• Grouting, finishing and cleaning tiles
• Safe use of tools and workshop equipment

Learning is practical, hands-on and supported throughout by experienced tutors.
