Level 2 Certificate in Barbering

What You’ll Study
You’ll cover a wide range of professional barbering units, including:

• Health and safety practices in the salon

• Client consultation for hair services

• Shampoo and condition the hair and scalp

• Scalp massage techniques

• Cutting hair using barbering techniques

• Cutting facial hair

• Styling men’s hair

• Promoting products and services to clients

• Creating a complete image

This course is your first step into the fast-paced and creative world of professional barbering.

Costs:

• This course is fully funded for students aged 16–18.

• Adults who don’t already have a Level 2 qualification or who receive certain benefits may also be eligible for funding.

• Students will need to purchase a kit, but bursary support may be available if you’re eligible.

• A uniform will be provided by the department, you’ll just need to buy appropriate footwear.
