This qualification is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to become competent in digital application support — a vital role in today’s technology-driven workplace.

To complete the qualification, learners must complete seven mandatory units and one specialist pathway unit.

Throughout the course, students will explore the role of productivity software and the use of digital information systems in supporting and maintaining software applications. They’ll develop the ability to apply troubleshooting tools and techniques to investigate and resolve software-related issues effectively.

Learners will also gain an understanding of database management systems, the key components involved, and the practical approaches to configuring and maintaining software applications.

Five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above.

Vocational Tech Award qualification(s) at Level 2 Merit and above in a relevant subject, e.g. BTEC Tech Award in Digital Information Technology.

This qualification is internally assessed and consists of one component, which is an internally assessed portfolio of evidence. Learners must be successful in this component to gain the Level 3 Technical Occupational Entry in Digital Support (Diploma).
