Future Focus is a supportive 11-week programme designed to help you get back on track, build your confidence and prepare for what comes next.
Programme Details
Starts: 29 September 2026
Duration: 11 weeks
Location: Sandwell Science, Engineering & Manufacturing Centre
Qualification: NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Employability Skills
Maybe you didn’t start college this September. Maybe you started but it didn’t work out. Or perhaps you’re not currently in education, employment or training and aren’t sure what to do next.

Future Focus gives you the support and time to build your confidence, develop new skills and start thinking about your next step.
What will you do in Future Focus?
Build confidence + skills
Develop your confidence and employability skills and improve your English & maths.
Gain a Level 1 qualification
Work towards an NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Employability Skills.
Prepare for what’s next
Take part in enrichment, develop skills for education and employment and get support to explore your options.
Who is Future Focus for?
Future Focus could be right for you if you’re aged 16–18 and:
- You’re not currently in education, employment or training
- You didn’t start college or have since left
- You’re unsure what to do next
- You want to build your confidence before taking your next step
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start.
What comes next?
Future Focus is designed to help you move forward.
After the 11 weeks, we’ll support you with your next step, including the opportunity to progress onto a full College study programme and continue working towards your future career.
