Health and Social Care teams from Sandwell College recently took part in a Train-the-Trainer workshop at the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity headquarters, exploring advanced simulation activities and immersive room technology.
The Mastering Clinical Skills Teaching session focused on:
- effective teaching approaches
- creating safe learning environments
- integrating technology into clinical skills delivery
- clinical observations, reflective practice, and continuous improvement.
Assistant Principal Nisha Anhu said: “Staff have returned brimming with innovative ideas to further enhance our teaching, learning and assessment strategies. We are excited to incorporate these cutting-edge simulation methods. A huge thank you to Emily Browne for delivering such an engaging and insightful session.”
Nisha added these approaches will play a key role in shaping delivery at our new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital Learning Campus, ensuring students develop the skills, confidence and competence demanded by the sector.
