Computing Students Produce Professional Content For Birmingham Library Exhibition

Six Computing students from The Sandwell Colleges have gained excellent work experience, producing social media content for an exhibition at the Library of Birmingham.
The Forgotten Generations: Lest We Forget exhibition reveals the untold stories of African and Caribbean Royal Air Force veterans from the West Midlands.
Working individually and collectively on material, the BTEC Level 3 learners researched and produced video content to promote the exhibition, in line with The National Lottery Heritage Fund marketing guidelines.
Project director and RAF veteran Donald Campbell was extremely pleased with the learners’ work ethic and very proud of the high standard of social media work they produced during the week-long placement.
He said: “I would like to say a massive thanks for the students who participated in The Forgotten Generations social media project. They certainly did some outstanding work and should be very proud of themselves. The students were exemplary in their behaviour and did some very good research. It was a pleasure working with them.”
As a result of the students’ valuable contributions, a social media specialist has also expressed interest in working with our learners on his upcoming charity project.
The Forgotten Generations: Lest We Forget exhibition runs until 12 December.
