Gain confidence using your phone, tablet or laptop with this friendly four-week introduction to digital basics.
This hands-on course helps you understand your device’s key features, manage settings, use apps safely and complete everyday tasks such as browsing the internet, sending messages or accessing online services. Whether you’re new to digital technology or want to feel more confident supporting your family, this course builds essential skills at a comfortable pace.

Who is this course for?

Adults aged 19+ who want to:

  • Learn how to use their phone, tablet or laptop more confidently
  • Understand basic device settings and features
  • Perform everyday online tasks
  • Build independence using digital tools
  • Prepare for further digital courses
  • You must be aged 19+
  • No previous qualifications provided
  • Digital devices are not included

Across four sessions, you’ll learn how to:

  • Navigate your device settings and key functions
  • Use apps, browser tools and features
  • Connect to Wi-Fi, manage data and update your device
  • Send messages, emails and photos
  • Use online services such as forms, bookings or basic apps
