Stay safe online and build confidence using technology with this practical four-week course delivered at Cradley Heath Skills Campus.
Digital Safety and Security introduces you to the essential skills needed to protect your personal information, spot online risks and use your devices more safely. You’ll learn simple, effective ways to stay secure while browsing, shopping, banking or communicating online. Whether you’re new to technology, supporting family members or want to feel more confident using digital services, this course provides knowledge you can apply straight away.

Who is this course for?

This course is ideal for adults aged 19+ who want to:

  • Stay safe online and protect personal information
  • Understand common digital risks and scams
  • Build confidence using devices and online accounts
  • Learn everyday online safety skills before progressing further
  • Improve digital independence
  • No previous experience is needed.
  • You must be aged 19+

Across four weekly sessions, you’ll explore practical skills for safer digital use, including:

  • Recognising online scams, threats and suspicious messages
  • Creating strong passwords and managing secure accounts
  • Staying safe while shopping, banking or browsing online
  • Understanding privacy settings on phones, tablets and computers
  • Identifying safe and trustworthy websites and apps

Learning is delivered through hands-on activities with supportive tutor guidance.
