Foundation Learning students from Sandwell College recently showcased their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit at the WorldSkills UK Enterprise Qualifiers, hosted by North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College.
Representing the college with pride, learners Nataliah and Demi pitched a sustainable business idea—a thoughtfully designed planter that prioritised accessibility and environmental impact.
The pair demonstrated professionalism and teamwork throughout the event, supported by eye-catching custom hoodies produced in Sandwell College’s FabLab and a visually compelling mood board that brought their idea vividly to life.
Judges were highly impressed by Nataliah and Demi’s preparation, collaboration, and confident delivery. As the first team to present, they were praised for “setting the bar extremely high” for the rest of the competition—a testament to their hard work and dedication.
This experience marks an exciting milestone for our Foundation Learning students and a proud moment for Sandwell College.
