Art Students Bringing Creativity To The Community

Talented Art & Design Sandwell College students are bringing their creativity to West Bromwich, transforming the Bus Station Community Hub.

Our Level 3 Year 2 Extended Diploma in Art & Design students have been hard at work, applying their creative and technical skills to an exciting work experience project with West Bromwich Community Hub and West Midlands Combined Authority.

Commissioned to transform the ‘Let’s Chat’ Hub at West Bromwich Bus Station, learners have designed stunning artwork inspired by local architecture, transport, culture, and wellbeing – bringing the community’s identity to life in a vibrant and engaging way.

The pieces are currently being mounted and framed, ready for their permanent exhibition in the Community Hub.

This has proved to be a fantastic work experience opportunity for our talented students to showcase their skills in a real-world setting – another great example of how we are getting our learners career-ready.

Stay tuned for the official exhibition launch.
