Lessons will take place on Mondays 9AM-2PM.

You will need GCSEs in English and maths at grade C or above. Applicants will need to achieve Level 1 in Literacy and Numeracy at assessment. A DBS check will be required so that students can complete work placements as part of the course.

The Level 3 Early Years Workforce Diploma (Early Years Educator) programme covers a wide range or topics that include:

  • Communication in health, social care or children and young people’s settings
  • Equality and inclusion
  • Personal development
  • Child and young person development
  • Safeguarding
  • Supporting positive children and young people’s positive behaviour
  • Paediatric first aid, illness and injury.

Much of the course is focused on putting ideas into practice, so you will need to be employed within the sector or attend a childcare placement for a minimum of 12 hours per week.

Please get in touch for more information.

Assessment is conducted formally within the work placement through direct observation. Tasks and projects will also be set in order to successfully complete a professional portfolio.

Following successful completion of the Level 3 Early Years Workforce Diploma (Early Years Educator) course, you can work in a supervisory capacity as a learning support practitioner, childcare practitioner, youth support worker, or behaviour and education support team member.
